Robert Hayden Amazes me how you are never afraid to stretch the boundries, always squeezing the very last drop of originality & possibility from your many facets of talent.
Robert Hayden fyi Robert Hayden thanks JMT I doubt that I will try to cover this one, but I appreciate your creative genius none the less. I do cover several cof your works when I play. To me that is the highest form of a compliment, to have one of your works covered by other musicians.
I read the words 1st and expected a completely different musical framing for them. But this sorts rocks and works great. Kavin
If names really meant anything, my name would be James Michael Singer. Or maybe James Michael “Show and Tell.” I was a sophomore in high school when Buddy Holly died. He and the Everly Brothers were the first music on the radio that sang My Music. THEN, The Kingston Trio sang Tom Dooley and I headed off to college with my banjo and it was hootenanny time. THEN, Dylan sang BLOWING IN THE WING and turned all of us folk singers into song writers. 1,000 songs later I’m on the verge of eighty years on this earth and music has been the wind I have ridden and the thread that has held it all together for me. Funny, I end up back in Oklahoma. It was off to college from the San Joaquin Valley of California to Oklahoma City in 1961 where I spent 2 years mostly singing and playing in trios and duos if I remember right. School never interfered with the music. Meanwhile 25 years a stage hand on everything from Hank Jr. to Pink Floyd but never interfering with my own concerts and movies and raising a tote bag of kids. You’ll just have to come out Friday night if you want to know more… Talk to me…pyropool@earthlink.net https://www.facebook.com/jamesmichael.taylor.39
